Unleashed Technology · Software
Software for the back office, built by people who run one.
unl.dev is where Unleashed Technology builds products: asset management, payroll automation, and the integrations that connect them. The same team runs networks, infrastructure and accounting operations, so the software is shaped by the work it supports.
- File received
Paylocity drops the GL file over SFTP
- Checked
Balances, company, accounts, classes and duplicates
- Queued
One journal entry per company and class
- Posted to QuickBooksDone
Web Connector pulls it; nothing posts twice
What we build
Products, integrations, and the infrastructure under them.
Unleashed Technology works across enterprise networking, web development and software products. unl.dev is the software side.
Products
Software we design, run and support ourselves. UNL Assets handles fixed assets and depreciation. UNL Relay posts payroll journal entries into QuickBooks Desktop.
Integrations and automation
Connecting the systems a business already pays for: payroll, accounting, identity and email. Event-driven, audited, and safe to run again when something fails.
Web and infrastructure
Web applications, plus the enterprise networking and cloud infrastructure they run on, from the same team that builds the products.
Products
Two products, built and run in-house.
Each one does one job: it replaces a spreadsheet or a re-keying step with something that checks its own work.
- Fixed assetsDepreciation
UNL Assets
A fixed-asset register that calculates depreciation across book, federal and state at the same time, with market valuations, tax reports and an accountant workspace.
- GAAP straight-line, MACRS with Section 179 and bonus, and state schedules
- Seven asset categories with CSV import and CSV or PDF export
- Separate workspaces per company, with owner, admin and member roles
- PayrollQuickBooks Desktop
UNL Relay
Takes the general ledger file Paylocity produces after each payroll, checks it, and posts it to QuickBooks Desktop as journal entries. Runs on Azure.
- Every file validated before anything posts; failures are held with a reason
- QuickBooks Web Connector integration, with nothing connecting into the office
- A web console at relay.unl.dev and email alerts when someone needs to look
How we work
Software that's safe to depend on.
Six habits taken from how UNL Assets and UNL Relay are built. The engineering page shows where each one lives in the code.
Security first
Tenant data is isolated in the database itself. Secrets live only in server-side code.
Least privilege
Every key, role and sign-in gets only what its job needs, and view-only means view-only.
Tested and gated
Unit, database and UI tests run on every change. Nothing merges past a failing check.
Observable
Health you can read at a glance, and an alert only when a person needs to act.
Safe to retry
Work is checked before it's done, so a retry never posts or sends anything twice.
Private by default
Amounts and personal data stay out of logs, alerts and lists.
